Privacy

CheckBack (getcheckback.com) is a consumer money-tools site. We collect as little as we can to run tools, a reminder list, and (when configured) email and billing.

What we collect

• Tool inputs you type (fee amounts, prices, a VIN, a name and state) stay in your browser unless you save an item or submit a form.
• If you save to CheckBack, we store an email, item titles, optional amounts, optional dates, and status so we can remind you.
• VIN lookups are sent to NHTSA to fetch published facts. Do not share a VIN on a public card — share pages show a recall count, not the VIN.
• Payment, when live, is handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
• Standard logs (IP, user agent, pages) may be collected by our host (for example Vercel) to operate the site.

What we don’t do

We do not sell a database of unclaimed-property balances. We do not use credential-leak or “data breach” monitoring. This product is money tools — fees, subscriptions, interest, unclaimed cash searches — not identity-theft surveillance.

Cookies

We use essential storage (including localStorage) for your tracker on this device. Analytics or ads cookies will be disclosed if they are added later.
